Filter

You can setup which folders and files are to be excluded from the archive when archiving the source folder on the following property page.

Filter

Include all subfolders

Select this option to include all subfolders under the source path for archival.

Exclude / Include following subfolders

If you have selected the above option to include all subfolders for archival, then you can exclude subfolders added in the list from archival. Otherwise, you can include only subfolders present in the list for archival purposes.

Add

Press this button to add specific subfolders to include / exclude list of folders.

Filter subfolder

  • Exact subfolder path name - select specific subfolder path names to be added to the list.
  • Subfolder name pattern - enter a subfolder name, which may include wild card characters '*' and '?', to be added to the list. This name will be matched with any subfolder name found under the source path.

Remove

Press this button to remove selected subfolder names from the list.

Exclude / Include these file types

You can either select the exclude or include radio button and then add file types to be excluded or included during archival.

Add

Press the Add button to open the following dialog box to add selected file types into the list.

Filter files

  • Registered file types - select this option to add one or more known file types.
  • Custom file type - select this option and enter a file name, which may contain wild card characters '*' and '?', to the list. Multiple names can be entered separated by a comma, semicolon, or double quotation marks.
  • Filter group - select this option to add a filter group name as added on the Global Options page.

Remove

Select one or more file types in the list and press this button to remove them.

Exclude junctions, symbolic links, and mounted folders

Select this option to exclude junctions, symbolic links, and mounted folders under the source path during archival. Note that copying a symbolic link requires administrative privilege, i.e., you need to select either a system or an administrative account name for archival.

Exclude files smaller than

Select this option to exclude files smaller then the entered value during archival. For example, you may use size as one byte to exclude all zero byte files from archival.

Exclude files larger than
Select this option to exclude files larger than the entered value during archival. You may use this option to exclude very large files from archival.
